How low should mens lowrise jeans sit on the hips?

Hi, I recently got some of these mens low rise lc16 Lee Cooper Bootcut / outbreak http://www.thestoryworks.com/leecooper/newsite/fgd_boy_lc16.htm http://www.bournemouthjeans.co.uk/LC16.php jeans one question I have is that they are lowrise and sit around an inch or so below the hips to the waist and a little fabric of my boxers showing a bit when extended io feel like my hoodie sometimes does not cover. Is it not to feel under your hips? I love them because they are sooo comfortable on the hips and a kind of flare a bit at the bottom (but not too much) thanks
