Adherence to the Marines ruin my chances of a higher grade?
I graduated with two degrees in biology and chemistry, recently I was stuck in a job that is great, but I want more of my life. I considered joining the Marines OCS to become a lieutenant in the Infantry Marine. Obviously this would mean four years outside the realm of academic science /. Would that ruin my chances of getting into a graduate school where returns? Ultimately, the plan for a PhD.
Quite the opposite! My two sons were in service, now has a master and the other is completing a doctorate (DPT) In both cases, the payment service for their education up front. The Navy had a number of hours of undergraduate during the active duty Coast Guard was one of the reservations, but went to school full time paid by Uncle Sam. Unless you are in a war zone service is often a job from 9 to May you have time to school at night if you wish.
