Hawk lures scare pigeons and pest birds
While it is fun to feed the pigeons in the parks and playgrounds, pigeons and similar birds of pests can create all sorts of problems. They cause millions of dollars in damage to buildings, facades and mechanical structures – or air conditioning, telephone, systems electrical and lighting. Pigeons can also create a health hazard. Due to its stern, in addition to being corrosive, can lead to any of 60 known diseases.
Fortunately, humans have devised all sorts of intelligent pigeon deterrent bird pest. And unlike the old days when owners of property used poisons or guns to the killing of birds by the pest populations, methods of today are much more human. One way to prevent pest birds "get charge "is a space to exploit their natural fear of predators. And few predators are despised among birds and most pest birds like Red-Hawk tail.
All the more reason why a Red-tailed Hawk decoy can be particularly effective to rid an area of pest birds. Pigeons instinctively recognize the skyline of this highly skilled hunter. Armed with razor sharp claws and seen eight times more acute as a human, a Red Tail can dive after their prey up to 120 miles per hour (one can detect a dove 150 feet above the ground and snatch to the right of the birds of heaven).
A medium-sized bird of prey, the Red-Hawk Tail is widespread and common member of the American family of large hawks rise. It is also one of the biggest hawks, which typically weigh between 2 and 4 lbs. The female is almost 33 percent larger than males and can have a wingspan as large as 56 inches. These birds prefer to fly high with your eyesight to focus in their prey below. An aggressive hawk, the Red Tail to fight tenaciously to defend their territory. All this is bad news for any birds and poultry pests dare to invade the space of red tail.
Pigeons and similar pest birds quickly recognize the Red-tailed Hawk as it can find in a wide range of habitats and altitudes. This includes deserts, swamps, bushes, grasses, conifers and deciduous, farmland, and even areas urban. This bird is very adaptable, equally at home in different heights above sea level, and capable of development in most of North America from western Alaska and northern Canada all the way to Panama. Red Tails can also be found in cities perched along highways in the utility poles and other elevated structures. So the pigeons and other pest birds will always be in pursuit of this highly skilled predator.
Once has purchased a Red-tailed Hawk decoy , the correct position is essential for maximum effectiveness. This decoys must rely on his hawk in the sky scheme and the shadow of his body and wings on the ground to be immediately recognized by the pigeons and poultry pests. For this reason, Falcon Lures should be suspended as high as possible on the area of a pest bird for maximum threat posture. This can be accomplished using a suitable stick, branch open shaft or other extension beyond the problem area. Traps should also be moved at least once a week, otherwise pest birds get used to them and no longer considered a threat. Also, when buying a hawk decoy, choose one that is made of durable weatherproof. A tip: the overall effectiveness of a decoy falcon can be expanded when used in conjunction with ultrasonic deterrents or audio. So worth talking about to a professional about that deterrents to be used with any type of pest birds.
Finally, Falcon Lures are an alternative ecological rid an area of pigeons and other pest birds. They do not harm anything or anyone. They just rely on the natural instincts of a bird pests to keep them away.
