What would make a house with wall light green apple and light maple floor Harewood look better?

Perhaps the dark furniture (black) stainless steel Brushed / nickel decorative objects or details? or dramatic and natural colors and earthy textures and materials? such as leather, canvas, broken? . . . I been looking at some examples and try to visualize how to make a light / mono-color is warm and welcoming home. ~ Help
